Title: 3DFX Drivers on Windows XP Professional Post by Cyberpunk on 05.05.03 at 22:41:53
I have a 3DFX Voodoo 3 - 3000, the PCI model.I am running Windows XP Professional, on an AMD Duron 1.1gig, with 256 DDR Ram. I can get the voodoo running fine in Direct 3D mode, but can't find the right XP drivers to run it in Open GL mode. I look on the download page, but frankly, I don't know witch driver to try. Any help please???

Stick to the Highlighted ones first ;)
AmigaMerlin 2.5, Dozer 1.1 or 3dHQ Beta10 for example. Still, you'll have to do the testing all by yourself, as all Drivers work for many, but (depending on Application Used) the Results always differ from case to case... |

Personally, I choose AmigaMerlin's 2.5 SE XP driver with Wicked GL v. 2.31 (the beta or demo notice screen pisses me off). Never had much problems except for the gamma problem in JK2. >:(

If you want the full final 3.02 version with registration key is here at NuAngle's site: http://www.velocity.net/~culver_c/ Scroll down untill you see WickedGL and that will be the link for it, as well as the Win32 source code from 3Dfx. Your fontrune cookie reads "It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others" |
