Title: V56K VSA-100 use modes.
Post by Obi-Wan_Kenobi on 25.11.05 at 13:13:22
Hello I was wondering is a Voodoo5 6000 could be switched to Single VSA_100 and Dual VSA-100 , because if a Voodoo5 5000 AGP/PCI & Voodoo5 5500 AGP/PCI can do that I was thinking the same for a 6000.

Is this also possible?

Far as I know, only single chip mode is available as an option.

hmm interesting, still wonder about the Dual chip option, since that there are 4 in total on the board, I always though it could be used as a 5500 , I suppose that there is a reason that it can only do single or quad chip opperation, I wonder this :)

There is nothing in hardware that would prevent you from running 2 chips. Just the driver implementation is lacking the option.
