voodoo 3 register programming
16.10.03 at 20:32:11
I'm running a voodoo 3 on xp and i tried the v3.asm and v3rot.asm program from the net, but on running them I'm getting linear frame buffer not available.. can anyone explain?
also, does anyone have alternative listings for simple triangle rendering in asm, via the 3d registers?
one more thing, can anyone explain the swapbuffers in detail, once I've set the ftriangle parameters, and issued a drawtrianglecmd, I seem to need to program a swapbufferscmd, but am in a little confusion between the auxilary buffer, left and rightoverlaybuf. I know the triangle is drawn, as fbitrianglesout is incrementing,
exactly which buffers are swapped, and how do I ensure I've set the right addresses for them?
