Title: [W] 3dfx cards on PCI, SLi cable Post by Dexter on 17.01.12 at 11:26:20
Hello people,
Seems it took me a couple of months to find the most comprehensive forum for VooDoo enthusiasts. Now that I've found falconfly, maybe I'll get the chance to acquire a couple of 3dfx pieces for my freshly born collection. I've been busy finding video cards for my '98 rig and until now, the most powerfull is a V4 4500. But with a mobo supporting only PCI versions, I have to settle for the moment with a V3-2000. The point: - who has original V2 SLi cables for sale ? I have about 4 VooDoo 2's and no SLi cable. I've asked even m14radu (being the closest) for help but he seems to be out of these pieces for quite a while. Gary Donovan was kind enough to explain me how V2 SLi works and what I need in a mail, but I can't find a trustworthy electrical blueprint for the making of the cable from a normal floppy ribbon. - I'd like a more powerfull card on my '98 rig, but it has to be PCI. Does anyone have for sale the PCI versions of either a 3500, 4500 or 5500 ? This is all for now. I'll keep searching the enormous ammount of announcements on the marketplace, maby I'll find what I'm looking for already posted. Cheers. |

Quite comprehensive indeed.
It doesn't look complicated. Thanks man. I'll get to work as soon as I can (hopefully this week). [smiley=dankk2.gif] |

SomehowI forgot to mention, I managed to make the cable from a standard floppy controller.
The SLi worked fine. Thanx again for the support. |
