Clusterball 1.200 - a little help, perhaps?

Hi peeps ;)  Thought I'd give you all a little project to be getting on with!  I couldn't find anything about this via the forum search, so hopefully it's a nwe and exciting venture for you all *cough*

The fine folks over at Resolution Interactive just released a new patch for Clusterball, which has been mentioned elsewhere as being one of, if not the last commercially-developed games that supported Glide.  It's really very good, and I recommend trying it because there's no other game like it.

Part 1
So anyhow, there is a long-standing bug in one of the levels (Antarctica) that occurs when using a Voodoo card, whereby an error appears during loading:

...

and it proceeds to crash to the desktop.  Unfortunately the developers have other commitments and this is not considered something worth fixing because it only occurs on Voodoo cards, but I was wondering if anyone had any insight into this error, since I can't find a thing on it.

Part 2
This is probably more relevant to the people on this forum, since it's more in their area of expertise!  I thought on the offchance that I'd try and get it working with MesaFX - given the bug doesn't occur when running OpenGL - so I copied the relevant files to the directory and edited the config file accordingly to change the renderer.  When loading, the 3DFx logo appeared (and very nice it looked too) followed by the splash screen, but the game then immediately crashes out with a different error, which I again can't find any information on:

...

Does anyone know anything about this error, and whether it is something that can be worked around?  Any pointers or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

At the end of the day, it's not really a major issue - after all, I can play every one of the other levels in the game! - but I figure it's the sort of challenge you lot thrive upon, so have at it *grin*

Downloads are available here for those who require them.  The base version should be enough to be able to recreate the MesaFX crash, at least.  Unfortunately, though, unless you're willing to pay for the full pack or the relevant venue pack at the shop, you won't be able to cause the other to occur, so you'll just have to take my word for it that it does happen...

Thanks in advance,

Targaff

Cheers, I did that.

And finally registered here, too - about time, I've been lurking for the best part of a year or so Tongue

I have "little" problem with that game..

When I try to start it it changes resolution, starts with black screen.. and never shows anything (you can just here intro music in background) !!!!???

What should I do!!!??

p.s. I have Celeron533/256MB Ram/Voodoo3 (8MB) !!
