...Please bare with me :)

I've been doing a bit of research about the voodoo4500 i'm about to get this weekend, and i just can't get a *final* answer to the most common question asked b us voodoo users;
"What drivers should i use?"

Some sites recommended omega's, others recommended x3dfx 1.08.04, others say x3dfx 1.07.0b BETA, others say 3dhq alpha 6..

Each site seems to endorse one driver and say that the rest 'suck' or whatever...

but i just want this one itsy bitsy final answer, what drivers are the /best/ for voodoo4, and why?

Personally i think x3dfx 1.08.04 are the best, cause of DX8 support. but i'm open to suggestions and/or comments.

I would also like an answer on this question, as I also, bought a Voodoo4 4500 PCI yesterday and will want to know what are the best drivers to give this a damn good testing! ;D

I can just speak for myself, the most compatible driver set for Win9x is still Nuangel5...

Any chance of anyone who uses whis card with either Win2k or WinXP, give us any advice as to which drivers to use?

I'm on XP, if you could elaborate on the difference between 1.07.0b and 1.08.04 id'e check it out :) (around sunday)

Okidoki this might intrest you,

Iv'e tested alot of drivers (amigamerlin3.0, x3dfx 1.08.04b, default windows voodoo4 driver, 3dhq beta10, and 3dfx 1.07.0b BETA for win2k)

And the *only* drivers that ran the Plus! 3d screen savers are the windows default driver, and 3dfx 1.07.0b BETA :)

I guess it needs some kinda directx support that all the unofficial drivers lack, it simply crashes... gives out the 'application X has crashed bla bla bla"
