heh.

actually,I got more info today, seems like we have a fourth one somewhere in eastern europe as well.

edit: went through some old threads, and I can definitely see pictures of 4 different boards (2x 3dfx fan,2x removable heatsinks).seems like the  italian guys actually got their hands on two,but this info is 7 years old..and the name that was mentioned was Paolo (AKA Sirta),not Nightbird.

edit2: I know you don't really want pictures, but anyway, here are the four rampage cards we know about:

they cannot do much, really, the drivers (and the boards themselves) are alpha, but they are functional enough to run quake3 in opengl mode and half-life1 in d3d mode..no glide support (was supposed to be provided via glide to opengl wrapper,if memory serves),UT runs only in software mode.

if you are asking if rampage can be used for some oldschool gaming, the answer would be no-v5 6000 is much better for that.

I have heard someone named Nightbird from 3dfxzone.it has one.

Should be correct. That one should be from ^SiRtA^/Amigamerlin used for test and review

As I said in a brief reply, thanks to Amigamerlin that bring Rampage to Italy, Paolo (aka ^SiRtA^ from nexthardware.it) made tests and review of the sample. He was the owner. Next, Rampage was sold to someone. Today that person should be Nightbird from 3dfxzone.it

My guess is that the drivers are the biggest issue for the Rampage boards (programmer's intuition).  I understand that the boards were still in alpha stages and contained bugs, but if the specs of the Rampage were out there, I think a better 3rd party driver can be written.  Probably not worth it though, assuming that most of the critical features weren't finished (i.e. Programmable pipeline).
