Greetings from OZ,

I'm trying to use my 3DFX 'Raven' card (the box says it uses Voodoo Banshee technology) after installing Win2K on my machine, but the PC recognises the card (displays info re the card on boot) but Win2K hangs on starting.

I'd appreciate it if you could tell me if there is a 3rd party driver for the card and how I install the software.

I guess you give a try to the drivers of BansheeTeam.
You can find them here :
http://www.bansheeteam.cjb.net/

They worked fine for me on WinXP.

Thanks for the post re the Win2k drivers for the Raven card Rolo,

Still have a problem with the machine hanging when booting Win2k with the Raven card installed.

Any suggestions anyone?

By the way, what Hardware are you using (Motherboard, CPU) ?

I'm using a Dell GX110 (Intel 300mhz processor).

The screen displays that the Raven (Voodoo2) PCI card is detected when the machine cold boots, but as the W2k graphic/starting message (& bar graph) displays the machine hangs.

BTW, the Raven card worked perfectly on the machine (W98) until W2k was installed.

Raven??...

This souns like a Quantum 3D Raven Banshee card....

So..... I guess that the Banshee team drivers doesn't work at all in this card.....

But.. probalbly I'm wrong......... a system problem relate could be too....

Thanks Sergio,

Looks like I'll have to get a new card (or retro to Win98).

May as well get a new system. The PC's six years old now and the processor's only a 300 mhz Intel and it needs a larger hard drive.......
