Hm, basically you could sort it in halfs :

Left = me
Right = Patience
(the 2 V5-6k's are the separating line more or less)

Wonderful Card Cheesy

¿Have you tried the v4 4500 Beta? Is it functional?

p.d. I think that your v5 6k need the PCI REWORKS and the HOOKUP... Have you spoken with Hank Semenc?

Oscar

@Patience - Just to let you know that it's actually SAFER to MOD the V5 6000 to run from an internal PSU. Wink

Why? ???

Because when using Voodoo volts you have TWO different ground and power sources - this in itself is intrinsically unsafe. Shocked

(sure it WORKS, but internal power is more stable and safer...) Roll Eyes

There is also the V5 6000 user group page, which gives directions on how to do the power MOD - but the page moved recently (can't remember the new address...) ???

Well that's what I say anyhow... Tongue

WOW! Great pics! I'm glad to see they went to good homes! It took years to put the collection together. By the way, the 4500 prototype not only DOES work but works well - or at least it did when I got it. If I remember correctly though, the heatsink does not make good contact with the chip but it may have been fixed by now. The cards actually never required them anyway.

I'm with you Patience in that I prefer to use the external PS with the 6k however if you ever change your mind, I have some of the lugs that are used to attach the wires if you need them.

FYI - I'll probably be putting a prototype Rev-A0 VoodooTV 200 on ebay within the next few days...in case you are interested.  Wink  I'll post a link in the ebay deals thread when I do.

Yeah, the copper colored board. That board has extra resistors and other stuff soldered all over it, does it not? It also has the Stealth-V cooler fan. They were evaluating the fans for OEM use but there were constant problems with the power connectors if I remember correctly. The card was clocked so slow that I don't think the chip even required a heat sink. I used that very card back in my Unreal Tournament days - for a week or so anyway after my first 6000 card died. Back in those days, while testing for 3dfx, I never imagined that any of the cards would be worth what they are now. As long as none of the delicate rework parts have been broken off since I owned it, I'd bet that it's still a good card.
