The pair.

One seems to work perfect, the other will stop working after about an hour unless there is a fan blowing on the chips.

Sweet.

The Tomb Raider version was downloaded from 3dgamers.com, the Descent II version was the 3dfx demo version included with my Orchid Voodoo Graphics board.

I could not figure out if any drivers were needed or not till I figure out I should look at Voodoo Graphics documents. The Monster instructions state no drivers are required since the games address the hardware direct.

Pictures were taken with my digital camera (not actual 'screen shots')

As far as I can remember that is correct.

Thandor got lucky and managed to haggle one from me.

Not in SDRAM & AGP with brown PCB.

Should work if you have run a regular V3 with no problems.

It's not too unusual for the old boards not to function, who knows what they have been through.

I have gotten pretty good at fixing some of them though  Grin

it does also not work in the BX board  Undecided

but nevertheless i booted it with a pci card and installed the driver... it is recognized as voodoo 3... Everest and v.control says that it has only 50Mhz GPU/mem clock!!!! can this be true?!? probably its the clock of my pci card (Matrox millenium)

i also see that my is missing the tv-out decoder chip! it has been ripped of! i still can see and feel some soldering on the pins!

and do you know the function of that jumper? its between vga connector and the small PLL device (MM0143AK is written on it... hmmm 143!? sounds like 143Mhz...)

I think those pins were used to program it's Bios chip Smiley they have the same function as the 6 Pins on the Voodoo5 6000 cards that were used to program the Xilinx chips Smiley

This is just my theorie of that jumper like connector Smiley
