Voodoo 5 5500 PCI BIOS update
18.02.03 at 23:55:33

Hi, I just downloaded the Voodoo 5 5500 PCI BIOS v1.18 (from here), and I was wondering if anybody knew how to install it? All the zip file contained was the BIN file... no readme. I guess you have to use MTKFlash, but I don't know the addresses.

BTW, I think BIOS files would be an excellent addition to this great site.

Hm, I recommend visiting :

http://welcome.to/3dfxBios

That is the Site for everything Bios Related (including Flasher Tools and FAQ's)

The simple reason I don't offer Bios Files in the 3dfx Archive :
As I cannot confirm (e.g. flash myself) every single Bios File, and if anything goes wrong, I cannot take the risk of people flashing their cards dead.

Might be as well any other error, but those Users likely return to the Site where they downloaded the File from.

Since Flashing is always a risky business and requires careful preparation in the Motherboard BIOS as well, too many uncertainties to cover Undecided
