Title: Need4Speed:III Hot Pursuit 1 on Voodoo5 Post by the 3dssetup folder TTCmp on 28.08.03 at 20:36:06
Hello,
I would like to run the game with 3dfx enabled, but I don't think it supports my card. I have a Voodoo 5 5500 AGP, and the game is supposed to support some older Voodoo cards. I can run the game in both Software and Direct 3D, but I'm nt sure how to use 3dfx. I've tryed copying glide dll's into 3dsetp folder and the games root folder and renaming them, but nothing happens. Can anyone help me with this? ??? Thanks for reading this anyway :) |

I'm running need for speed 5 (porsche) without problem, so NFS3 shouldn't be a concern :p
but there's a optimized glide driver for NFS 3, 4 & 5 find it and give it a try :) |

If you have Windows 98SE or Windows Me, Beyond Dreams drivers could be the excelent sollution for your problem. Check them at: http://bdreams.012webpages.com/Download/Drivers/Drivers.htm. They don't work on Windows 2000/XP. Read the text inside the archive before installing the driver. |

hmm is there some specific reason you wish to use glide? I had it working at one point, but I found the game ran smooter with Direct3D (don't ask me why, but it did). I will reinstall it and see if I can remeber how. What OS are you using?
