Well, another stupid question for you...

Hi guys!

How do you do without me? Grin....

I am asking to my self about this problem:

From my experience, i know that are two version of 3dfx voodoocards manuals....one is small and colored, the other one is big and not have any pictures, simply blake and white....ok?...ok!

So, i am confused (when i not are confused?! Tongue) because during my "shopping" i met some retail card that comes with one type of manual, some comes with the other type of manual......recently i have purchased a voodoo3 2000 agp retail that comes with both manuals!

So every voodoocard from 3dfx must comes with both manuals or not?

I know that it is useless question, but i would like know...

??????????????????

Thank Smiley

The European cards (STB builded V3+) comes with an black/white manual (half of an A4 size) and a colored CD booklet (Quick Install Guide)  Wink

i don't know if this is similar to the cards sold in the USA.

Oky, very thanks OutOfRange! Smiley

So go on!

The "your" v3 3000 PCI, have got the same quick install color booklet of the AGP version? I try to explain my ideas more clearly.....What v3 3000 face (Red or Green) is pictured on v3 3000 PCI color booklet?...I ask this because i never have seen a color booklet for 3000 PCI...so i think that 3000 pci could have the same green-face booklet of the 3000 agp!...no? i don't know....

Sorry, too much questions...i know it Sad

Ah! >>> p.s. OutOfRange, Where does "your cards with both manual" comes from? All from Europe? And... does "your 5500 cards" comes all from USA?

I need this info so, i try to reconstruct 3dfx marketing puzzle Cheesy

All cards are from Europe:

- Voodoo TV FM has only the black/white one.
- V2 1000 has both manuals and a "Double your Power" postcard.
- Velocity 100 has no colored CD booklet
- V3 2000 have both the two booklets
- V3 3000 have also both the same (PCI has the one with the green face too) booklet, but different black/white manuals.
I'm not really sure if this is correct but i became my V3 3000 PCI boxed together with the green guide.
Some V3 boxes also includes an additional paper which contains informations about cards using SGRAM modules, sometimes there's also an info sheet about the driver installation under win NT4.0 both sheets are multilanguage.
- V4 4500 both cards have both manuals
- V5 5500 all three cards (MAC.PCI.AGP) have only the colored CD quick install guide

something about the driver CD-Roms:
V3 2000 has both the violet Voodoo3 2000 CD-ROM, but for the V3 3000 i have some black CD-ROMs with "Voodoo3" on it and some green ones with "Voodoo3 3000" on it  ???

Yes, about cd's, there is more chaos.....my V3 2000 agp comes with violet cd, while 2000 pci (sgram) comes with dark-blu cd with "voodoo3" on it......my 3000 pci comes with dark-blu cd but it is the same for my 3000 agp!!! Any way i also have got the green cd with "voodoo3 3000" on it but i don't know what 3000 comes with???....it is logic that green "voodoo3 3000" cd comes with voodoo3 3000 agp card, but....but......????????????

p.s.....OutOfRange, the two colored twin booklet that comes with 3000's agp/pci are completely identical? Or can you read on that one is specific for agp, while other one is specific for pci?
