Title: Re: AAlchemy 8264 nVSensor Post by Loeschzwerg on 15.11.14 at 11:31:58
Yes, four V3 with 16MB each.
Don't know too much about it. Voltage supply isn't easy like on AAlchemy AA5 cards (8232SB for example), no drivers available (at least I don't know)... |

yeah, it says on Gary's page that there are only 2 known to be in public hands......and it never went beyond prototype either, so.....

They also made a prototype Voodoo 3 Mercury brick with four Voodoo 3 PCI cards. I'm thinking the "brick" was a proof of concept thing and then they intended to sell the quad board. V5-6000 would have made it all redundent. |

I'm sorry I looked for pictures of the brick this morning, viewed a number of cards I let go over the years and now feeling some angst.

Do you own that voodoo3 brick in the picture?? Would be awesome if it worked, tho it is ofcourse the same as a 4116, only with seperate cards ofcourse

Using 4 voodoo3 pci, a Mercury brick and some wires this V3 SLI setup can be done :)
I would love to get more information about this project :) |
Title: Re: AAlchemy 8264 nVSensor Post by ultima on 15.11.14 at 20:05:23
All we would need to know is where the wires start and where they connect to on the cards themselves....and then ofcourse the problem of getting it to work ofcourse
