Title: Does this card has any value?
Post by mirage111 on 04.11.14 at 13:18:18
Hi guys,

I've recently found this card. An Alliance Semiconductor ProMotion AT3D 4Mb.

I didn't know it and can't find much info about it. Is it not common? Does it has any value or it's just trash?

It remembers me a lot to the Voodoo 1 standard design.

I have one of these as well.
No particular value if you ask me but it is good for old Pentium platform if you want to add a Voodoo Graphics.

As far as I know, it supports only early Direct3D. Don't know about capabilities, I haven't test it yet.

ProMotion AT3D was the chipset 2D core chosen for 3Dfx Voodoo Rush.

Tho some manufacturers chose the MX 2D chip instead, but vast majority was indeed the ProMotion chip
