I wonder....

How much $$ nVidiot is paying to keep 3dfx.com and 3dfxgamers.com parked? they should at least do something with the sight! Unfortuinately, I never got to see the actual 3Dfx website, never been to it untill after it got shut down and the only thing there was a link to nVidia's homepage and VoodooFiles.

Their lease expired in '08, I'm thinking about backordering the name so the second the lease expires I get it, and ressurection of 3Dfx! lol.

For these cases there is web.archive.org, it's an "internet library" which archives websites. You can enter 3dfx.com in the "wayback machine" and you'll get a list of dates at which the website has been mirrored.

You mean you are trying to see if you can get the domain for yourself?

I guess even if Nvidia is not doing anything with it, since the purchase was made with certain terms and condition,

they would have to hold that name to themselves

I thought about selling my stock in mid December when it tripled it price. Change my mind. I'm still waiting for someone to come along and take it over, hostile or otherwise. Anyone else here own 3dfx stock. It's pretty cheap. I paid .05 USD about a year ago. I figured, Heheh! 100 shares for $5.00 sure, I'll take a hunderd.

Well, to answer the first question - NV is paying just about 20 bucks per year for each domain name, so it's pretty cheap for them Smiley

As for possibility of some sort of resurrection as museum/fan site - I have this project in mind... I work close with NV now and going to ask the right people the right questions soon, as I have some nice marketing ideas on this matter. But every action is need to be done in the right time Smiley On CeBIT, for example...

Tssss! I didn't say anything... LOL!
