Curious question. Have there ever been OS/2 Warp drivers available?
Regards,
Andreas

I have not run across any. I have ver. 3 OS2 warp. If I had seen any I surely would have grabbed them and tested them on my old PI 233 OS2 box.

There's one for Voodoo Rush cards, but I've never seen one for other Cards.

Maybe 3dfx concentrated on mac rather os/2 in the exotic hardware section.
About the rush driver. Could it be that it is only for the 2D Chip of the rush? I don't have os/2 installed anymore so i can't unpak the .pak files to search for 3dfx signs.

Andreas

You probably want to distinguish between 2D and 3D support when discussing drivers for OS/2. I came across these last month:
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-viewer?sh=1&fname=/pub/os2/system/drivers/video...
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-viewer?sh=1&fname=/pub/os2/system/drivers/video...
If memory serves, both of these drivers are strictly 2D. I don't know if it is still possible to get a license from SciTech or not.
Another thing to be aware of is that IBM licensed OS/2 code to third parties years ago, and much of the more recent driver development that has been done was performed by third parties such as eComStation (
http://en.ecomstation.ru
), so you might want to see what drivers they have. These drivers may or may not be compatible with older versions of Warp such as Warp 3.
Currently, IBM only provides support to Warp users who are willing to pay for a service contract. IBM has also announced that ALL support for Warp will terminate in 2006, although I don't know if that means that third parties who have licensed use of the code will be permitted to continue marketing products based on that code or not.
