I read about this on Digg yesterday.  The only thing Vista really could tout over XP was it's better security features.

Way to go!!!  Nothing is unhackable.

I did notice that my 2600XT runs better in SLI Crossfire Mode on Vista vs. XP but that's about it. I still like XP better. Is really a shame as I have about 5 or 6 Vista Business Editions and haven't used any of them.. One of my business partners bought new PCs and of course they were Dells and came with Vista Business and he wiped the drives an installed XP. He gave me the CDs with the unregistered licenses. I figured some day (after service pack 2) I would end up using them.

My 6700 Core2 Duo runs Vista Ultimate with the 2600XT. The rest of my machines run XP and one still has 98SE but dual boots to XP.

Voodoo machines run 98SE or 2000Pro.

Hm, in a way is brings some satisfaction, seeing Predictions come true that I made many years ago already.  But it's nothing surprising, MicroSoft and Security just doesn't mix, never did.

Luckily I prefer neither WinXP or Vista, as they're both highly insecure by design...

But people didn't listen and learn in the past, the same people won't learn in the future.

Well unfortunately I have to use it in the business world. Most of our customer base is made up of MS users and that seems to be the standard (at least in the US) so I have to learn to live with it if I want to keep my day job.

Some of the servers we sell run on Lunix but all the work stations that connect to it are MS mostly XP but I'm starting to see more and more Vista out there. I can't sit down at a user's workstation to help them if I don't know my way around the desktop OS..

Yeah, that sounds familiar.

I also had to give support to Vista people, as time is moving on for them. IMHO a very very inefficient System, after seeing that I promised to never slap Symantec Products for resource hogging again ;)
