Please give me a hand, ive only played battletech and never mech warriors but i wanna try it out :) Which game is better Mech2 or Mech4

now which 3dfx card does the version you picked run best on and which OS, i'd like to stay with 2000pro if possible.

Mechwarrior2 has really OLDSCHOOL graphics and the controls aren't too good, if you already played the newer ones..
Mechwarrior 4 (+ Mercenaries) is one of the best games I ever played! I'm starving for a sequel..
To play MW2 using Glide, you need to have the Gilde Version, the original MW2 doesn't support 3D accelertion, only the expansion Mercenaries does it out of the box. Plus you'll need a V1 to run it (maybe V2 does work, too).
For MW4, you'll need a V4/5 to run at good speeds and IQ. I tried V2SLI, and thats a bit too slow for my taste.
MW2 doesn't run under W2k afaik.

Does MW4 support Glide?
And jeah you aren't able to play MW2 und 2K or XP, i've tested it!

No it doesn't. But it still looks great with V5 and FSAA enabled 8)
