Overclock Tab

Hey Everyone!

I am NOT the man or anything, but am I the only one running Windows 2003 Server (as a Workstation) whom has got the Voodoo 3500 standing on it's ear?

Thye question I have, is how in the heck do you enable the overclock tab on the advanced properties tab???

I already have the overclock.exe from 3DFx, and I have placed it into the folder with the other "tools" but I know something else needs to be done....

maybe regdll???

Help me Undecided

Darnell

Hm, I believe the original OverClock tab was meant for Win95/98/ME, and this Installing it would create a Registry Entry used by those OS only.

Under Win2003, you'll likely have this Registry entry simply in the incorrect place, thus rendering it useless (the OverClock Tab will therefor not appear in the Display controls).

I'd rather recommend you try the VoodooControl Tool instead, although I can't recommend overclocking a Voodoo3-3500/TV in the first place Roll Eyes

Thank you for the tip FalconFly - i'll see if I can work it.  Would you happen to know StAnto?

Damn fingers! (hit tab/enter - sent post)

StAnto is a Video BIOS tweakhead - I asked him about a mod'd BIOS years ago, and he sent it the same day. My V3 3500 has been running @ 200Mhz for 4 years now, and shows no sign of dying (jinx!?)

I just wanted a "cool   8)  tool" that would be built in that would allow me to tweak it on the fly.

I have tried damn-near every other tweaker out there, and they don't have the "sophiticated look" I want...(my cheap-butt)

Thank you again for the expert insight.

Hm, I'd say VoodooControl is about as sophisticated as it gets...

But no Tool was ever designed with "sophisticated design" in mind, they're all rather functional, and built to work with ease-of-use...
