The cap you said has no number IS C128! ::)
So missing parts are... ;) C128 - capacitor R104 - resistor FB67 - SMT inductor (Googled and checked) Might also be SMT Ferrite Bead http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/C071/P1171.pdf C1465 - capacitor C1104 - capacitor It looks as though they were ALL smashed off! :'( Oh dear! :o |

I've had 'rusty' cards before - as long as all the parts are there, it should work... :P

Thanx for your intrest and help.
I contacted Hank and he helped me immediately. As always Hank your the Man ! So Iīll try to buy these parts and hope the card works again. But I found something on the WWW. http://itbbs.pconline.com.cn/topic.jsp?tid=3111734 Here you can see a 8164 You can see the missing C1104 down to the right on the picture and the stripe on one of the memory chips. And guess what ??? |

that white stripe thing looks like thermal paste but then wiped out over the chip, by accident maybe, the memory chip placed below it, that one has some of that white stuff too :-/
I hope that this card can be repaired, May The Force Be With Your 8164. heh it's the same ram used on 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000 AGP 128MB Rev.A1 1500 as Rev.A3 3400 cards and some Rev.A2 2600 cards. |
