The newer Catalyst Versions come with integreated Steam Client which also includes Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. (At the moment I just think that Lost Coast was freeware everytime ?! Wink

or does it need HL2 ?).

But it's integreated a bit stupid into the driver installer, cause it even wants to uninstall Steam when it's just on your computer... like everything from ATI it just feels a bit unfinished and not well made Undecided

so no problems with x1950pro agp (and x1950xtx pci-e) with the latest 8.x drivers.oh,and did I mention they fixed thief2 fog (after all those years)? ati,I love you Grin

They fixed the fog in Thief 2? Not to go off subject here, but did you ever play the Thief mod for UT called Thievery? It's kind of cool but you need a bunch of people to play it. Since it's still very playable on the 3dfx cards, I can through some of the Thief links up in there. Tons of mods for it.

Anyhow, I haven't had any problems with the 8.3 drivers at all. Just gaming for the most part. Most of them are newer games and WoW has been taking up quit a bit of my gaming time so.. (shouldn't have ever started playing it). Tongue

Hmmm, haven't had any problems since 8.1 with both of the AGP cards I have (X1950 Pro, X850 Pro). I know when I installed the hotfix for 8.1 that fixed everything, I had to download and install the CCC control panel seperately from the hotfix as it's only the drivers and basic software (15 megs compared to the normal 34 megs) so might have to do the same with these if you plan on installing them.

yup,I can confirm,you wont get a hd2600 agp running unless you install those (did some remote troubleshooting a few minutes ago).not needed for the x1000 agp line,it would seem..

..I have just found a pretty serious bug-on my x1950pro agp,opengl is half broken wih cat7.12 and higher.most opengl games display weird symptoms such as flickering/twitching of textures,spikey polygons,black areas,shaky screen.observed on quake4 and homeworld cataclysm (quake3 seems to work fine).no problems on cat7.11 and older.

can someone confirm this?

edit: using opengl from the 7.11 driver with cat8.3 installed kills this bug.
