There is a rumor that a company developed a system that could use 2 Voodoo3 2000 PCI linked together with a third controller card, that let one card render the top half and one the bottom.
I was not able to find more about this project, no pictures and no schematics.
Does anybody have more info related to this rumor or how to connect 2 voodoo3 in SLI ?

So far the only know SLI is the AAlchemy 4116 with 4 Voodoo3 from Quantum3D.

hmm, if they manage to run in SLI 4 voodoo3, to run 4 voodoo5 5500 should work too !
We will get practicaly an AAlchemy :) ( 4x2 VSA )

Yes, it looks like the module used for the Mercury Brick. The name would fit: "Quantum3D AAlchemy Module

But if you ask me, same problem as with the AAlchemy 4116... no drivers.

Voodoo 4 or Voodoo 5 SLI never was a question of "does it work", more who is able to write some drivers and declare one of the cards as master.

Whew....can you imagine 4 of the recently unveiled here Voodoo 5500 128mb's in SLI?  Damn!

we need also the interface, not only the drivers.
afaik the source code from 3dfx is still not available....damn, if we had that  :o

Not necessarily, everything can be handeled via software. It's just a matter of "how to declare the master" and "how is the performance via PCI bus".

Last I knew, the V3 brick was in a display case at Quantum3D.
