Title: help needed with buying & shipping from US/UK
Post by ps47 on 14.06.07 at 11:14:59
I would like to get a 939dual sata2/vsta mobo from newegg, but I (obviously) need someone from US to buy it for me & send it to me (the mobo needs to be checked for real availability first,as it is currently out of stock).would someone be so kind to do this for me?

I can pay with my paypal, the mobo+all the shipping costs+something extra to make it worth your while..

thanks..

Well, they don't make the boards any more so I don't know if newegg will be getting any more of these in. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Generally, how much is shipping from the US to E.U.? I keep getting (the last weeks) very high shipping rates for airmail via USPS. For example this guy here :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220121196833&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:UK:1

ships with 8$ to US but asks for 31$ to ship it to Greece. A large gap don't you guys think? Is there a US resident to verify shipping rates from there cause its getting disappointing.

Sorry for intruding to your thread ps47 but I m keep getting the same thoughts the last days (to ask a US resident buy an item and send it over with a cheaper overall price)

Shipment from US to EU is a minimum of $20 by USPS (slow delivery).

But I bought this lately :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=003&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=130088075156&rd=1&rd=1

with 9.99$ pnp with USPS airmail. And usually USPS airmail pacels arrive here in about a week (5-6 working days). Got tons of other bulkier-heavier stuff bought in low pnp charges (low as not 31$) and on parcel the price was the same I payed (in case someone thinks a percentage of the pnp value to be transfered in item's value....even though it doesn't make sense this way as it does in vice versa ;)).

Here's the shipping link for usps. http://www.usps.com/tools/calculatepostage/welcome.htm?from=home&page=0061calculatepostage

I had used the generic postal zip code for my location (55411) and it ranges from 28-35 US$ to ship to England. There is an option for first class mail for 10.40$ but it does not give a time frame in days on how long it would take.

hope this helps out some.

great :)

first thing would be to check with them and find out if they are ever going to have the board again (its not being manufactured anymore, but with a bit of luck some pieces may still be floating around).not sure if you have to have an account of some sort to make direct contact..

thanks 8)

crack.last one was available just a few hours ago.but no harm done, just nabbed one from ebay.uk (brand new 939dual sata2) so I'm fixed for now (the price was horrid, but what the hell).but if someone stumbles upon the VSTA model, just whistle ;)
