I suppose they have some sort of device for just some fast testing of vital functions.
Now I have no idea how that goes if they test them all, or just say every 100th or one out of a batch.

hmm what can be understanded by Internal testing, because  attaching a monitor cable internally would be alittle trick wouldn't it?

Sorry on this behalf, but that's a little new to me lol.

Well I just cited what I was told Smiley Can't explain more thoroughly. I suppose that their term "Internal testing" means "testing done by manufacturer on specific industrial testbed and this dumb connector can't be used by end user so stop bothering me with questions about useless things which I don't know exactly by myself" Smiley But I heard almost the same replies from ATI, NVidia, XGI and few card makers (Gainward, Sapphire, etc.) Of course, due to my work most of my contact persons are PR/Marketing specialists and not the board engeneers Smiley

Didn't check in this case aside from checking for normal function (it works fine)

Hmm...internal testing... Undecided

...just a theory here, but how about when they are beta testing the BIOS of the card and need to re-flash it when it's NOT in an AGP / PCI slot. Grin

I mean they can't do that if it's soldered onto the board...unless they have a 'flash' connector! Shocked

Improbable, there would be no need for such a connector on a production board, especially not for testing beta bioses.
Also... in a developing part of the plant it's highly probable that there is plenty of AGPs and PCIs.
It might be some connector to check the vital functions, I suppose they have some sort of test on certain noumber of cards before putting them on the market after production.
The problem is I might be wrong as well as you, since noone is willing to tell the purpouse of such connectors.

Correct, this is a production card I had tagged so not to confuse with another card.

hmm nice catch it has 5ns SDRAM like my Power Colour Evil King 3 Pro hehe same brand mem also hmm interesting Gary very Interesting.

anyways mine does infact run @ 166Mhz but it's max OC was core/mem 220Mhz heheh rather high for a 3K AGP Smiley

I wonder how far your Extreme will go , maybe 220Mhz also since the core and mem is actually the same only it runs at a different clock.
