Title: [S] two AGP.5 agp2pci prototypes Post by ps47 on 31.10.11 at 01:14:06
ok, changing to sale.
for sale: two unfinished AGP.5 agp2pci prototypes (the two unfinished cards on the picture. the complete one is not for sale. the missing parts are not for sale either, but can be purchased from any electronics store and resoldered on with little effort-see the documentation) location: Czech Republic payment method: paypal (the buyer pays the fees) minimum price: 100E each card sale duration: open (I'll just let it run for a week or so, it should be pretty clear who is the winning bidder by then) just to make things 100% clear-these are prototypes, and are not meant for normal use (even after resoldering the missing parts). they are useful only as a collectors item, or as a reference/debug/test board for anyone who might attempt to finish up the project. Ren says: Quote:
happy shopping. [old]ok, so the documentation is already out, and the prototypes should be available soon (2 pieces). is there any serious interest in these? the price would be around 100E each.[old] |

Was the V5 AGP working correct with this adapter ?
In Dual GPU mode ? as posted here: http://www.3dfxzone.it/enboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2041&whichpage=3 the voodoo5 gets around 1532 points in 3DMark2001, witch leads to single GPU mode....my hunch Can Ren give us more informations, what are the weak points of the adapter and why the design hat to be re-made essentially from scratch ? ;) Thanks for distributing the blueprint of this projekt !!! The documentation is well structured and complete ! ;) |

I do believe dual gpu mode was working-the main problem is insufficient shielding, which leads to performance drops.

Hmm..you mean the missing parts PI5C-like switches.
I allways asked myself what they are for...now it's clear :) Did Ren also another PCB Layout, taking into account the positions for the PI5C circuits ? |

please, post your offer here.the minimum would be 100E for one card, and 200e for two cards.do note that Ren is considering the private offer right now,so even if your offer ends up as the only one,the final decision whether to sell you both cards or just one will be up to him.
