Title: V5 5500 MAC on PC.

What would happen if you insert a Mac card in a PC platform? I've sold one of my Mac cards recently, the guy tried to test it in his PC (??), and said the display came up all garbled. Obviously I said to him that it wasn't going to work with a Mac bios on it. I'm surprised it even showed anything on the screen.

Anyway, does anyone have any similar experiences, I doubt you can actually physically damage the card, since PCI is PCI. Just got a bit paranoid, because it was working when I sold it.

The cards itself are identical except for the DVI-port and the chips and so on for that. According to Gary, a resistor or something else prevents MAC-BIOSes from being flashed on PC-cards, but the other way it should work.
If the buyer flashed a PC-BIOS on the card and the display came up garbled then it's not your fault.

That's the thing, he hasn't flashed it, he tried to use a Mac card on PC.
