Arrived yeaterday.  Grin

And it the most excellent condition, if I say so myself!  Cheesy

This one had not even been opened from the outer packaging.  All the contents inside are still sealed inside, and the box was tight to open which indicated it had not been "thumbed" open.  Even better.  Grin

From the what it is worth dept-

My two cards (both are green and have "voodoo" at the top) came in today (thanks go out to the board member who helped me out, I'm very grateful) and this is what I noticed.

1) The outer box is generic- 3dfx is not even mentioned, but AGP/PCI is!

2) The two inner boxes were different! One opened from the end, the other flipped up in the middle.

3) One had a white cable, the other black. The cables are different then the one shown in the picture above.

4) The driver disc sleeve was different between the two.

5) The cards were sealed in new bags, but both had screw marks on the backplate.

6) There is a decal on the back of the card, it looks like someone tried to wipe off the barcode and number on it with a solvent.

I'm still happy with the purchase and the cards work fine, just odd things to note. I suspect these are "repacks" from another vendor (trust for example)

The guy that gave me those card, give me two different ones also. I suspect he did this on purpose, thx go out to the seller. Yes I saw some strange things too. One one card the bar code is barely visible. But in the end these cards, are cards of the end of the voodoo graphics era. The chips are from 9836!!!

Just checked all my stuff again;

The card is most likely an A-Trend ATC-2465 (says so on the card)
The manual is from Helios 3D (black with yellow letters)
And the Driver-cd is black with 'golden' letters.

The only thing ColorMAX about this is the box.

So, was ColorMAX just a company that relabeled other products?

Okay, I found something interesting on ColorMAX.
In some way it's related to A-MAX.

The nature of that relation is however somewhat unclear to me. It could be that CMAX is a daughter-company of A-MAX or perhaps CMAX is just the name of their range of videocards.

Anyone know more about this?

Should have seen this before because in the list I have a card from A-MAX called "ColorMax VA-513" (Banshee) listed.

So, ColorMAX; daughter-company or brandname? Or perhaps something else?
