What are the differences between the "ordinary" and the "no tvout" is it the bios? anythig else... (I'm getting one soon, I had my brother to pick it up in another city but he'll be back in 1 week and I'm sooo curious)

I heard somwhere that you can flash the video card v3 2k with the voodoo 3 3000, and it will increase from 143Mhz to 166Mhz. I don't know this for sure, and I don't recomend it. str..... dude, the voodoo 3 3000 TV-Out is more rare than the regular voodoo 3 3000 that has no tv out.

I don't know this for sure, and I don't recomend it.

Wise advice as if the ram won't run at 166 mhz you may not be able to reflash the card back to 143 mhz spec.

I think you have it backwards- The V3-3000 AGP without TV is far more rare then a V3-3000 AGP with.

As far as I know the retail V3 3000 had TV-Out. An optional thing which the cheaper V3 2000 didn't have.

Let's make it clear:

"ordinary" 3dfx V3's:
V3 2K AGP has no tv-out and 143MHz
V3 3K AGP has tv-out and 166MHz

The one I'm getting (also 3dfx of course) is a:
V3 3K AGP with no tv-out and 166MHz

And in the matter of fact none of these are "rare" better said, the one I'm getting is just less common than the ordinary 3K with tv-out.
The ordinary 2K was just mentioned for comparison since it has an identical pcb and has no tv-out so by the looks it shoud be very similar to the 3K I'm getting (except for the heatsink)

Dell and Gateway were the two biggest buyers, but I have seen them in other machines as well.
