..many drivers are not digitally signed,this is not an issue (just another stupid ms feature,I prefer to use the real name-bug ).but ddraw shouldnt be disabled.have you installed the driver correctly? (see the driver readme.)

..well,after getting rid of the old driver (not sure what do you mean by deleting) you should run driversetup.exe,reboot and run setup.exe,reboot once again and that should be it..

I say,try runnig a D3D game.if it works,well,dont fix something that isnt broken .if you have problems when running it (errors,or wont launch at all),I would try the latest SFFT driver (extract the package,go to the device manager,find the v3,click update driver,choose instal from a specific location,point it to the folder where you extracted the driver,ignore xp moaning about driver not being certified,install,reboot,and that should be it).I dont have a voodoo3 installed right now but I will check on it personally if you continue to have that prob..

well,seems like something got screwed up badly.hate to say it,but you may need to make a clean instal of xp

yeah,reinstalling dx9c is a good idea.
