Title: 3dfx tools-like program
Post by LuxKiller65 on 15.12.04 at 16:55:38
In case *someone* wouldn't like to use the 3dfx tools, are there any other program which include at least all the functions of the 3dfx tools, plus (maybe) others? I heard of Powerstrip, but it's not free (or I am I wrong?) and also Koolsmoky or something like that program, which seems free. Are there any others I can use if I can't or don't want to use the 3dfx tools?

THX

I don't need the 3dfx tools if I use this program, right?
???

Because in the FAQ there's this question:

<<Q. I've changed registry tweaks from V.Control, but 3dfx Tools doesn't say so.
A. 3dfx Tools recalls what itself has set the last time it was used and does not show current settings.>>

CORRECTION:

But then it says:

<<Q. Do I need 3dfx tools installed for V.Control to work?
A. Nope. V.Control does not need 3dfx tools to work.>>

:P

V.Control will work independant of the 3dfx tools  ;)

Looks like you know this program!

Do you know how the text of the program can be changed?

Is it a good alternative to the 3dfx Tools?

@LuxKiller65,

Yes, I have used it for a long time and it is a great alternative to the 3dfx tools.

I mean, the text used in the program's windows, where you can check and uncheck the boxes. Because with most freewares, there's a file where with all the stuff written, but doesn't seem to be with this program. I don't mean the files where the information on the Voodoo cards are, but a file where you can see the text used for the descriptions etc...

:P

Not with most of the freeware I've used, there isn't... it's all compiled into the executable? ???

Yes you're right. Actually, the only freeware I could "modify" was RegCleaner. I got Alzhaimer... :-X
