I have an older HP computer circa 1998 with Window 98 O/S. I installed a Voodoo 3 card in it so I could play some Half life, well my Gordon Freeman days are over and I have upgraded computer since but here's the problem I'm having:
I took this ol HP and ressurected it. I formatted the hard drive and reloaded wWindows with the recovery disks. The one thing I dont have the 3dfx disc anymore. The monitor is only showing the 16 bit or 2 color option. I think its the video card software or drivers disc. Am I correct? If so, what do I need to dowload to fix the problem? Where can I find it? What version? Please give me some help I really would appreciate a response from all you guys that know way more than I. Thank you, Joe |

You need to download the 3dfx Voodoo 3 drivers from the archive, the last certified ones from 3dfx work fine for 98.

For best results try this one first. From the drivers section.
22 Nov 2000 3dfx Voodoo3 V1.07.00 8880k ZIP Latest Final Version, WHQL Certified I'd give you a hot link but I don't know if I'm allowed to. |
