I'm from the year '77, got to live it all in regards to 3DFX, 1st card I ever had was a Diamond Monster 3DII 12MB for my AWESOME!!! Cyrix PR200 system with 32MB ram.
I was drooling over Final Fantasy 7 at that time and when UT99 hit the shelves, I had V2 SLI, and had to do some small upgrades to be able to unleash the power that was Voodoo2 SLI

Nice. My "really" first system was a Cyrix PR233 system. I had other systems before, but they weren't really mine (complicated story).
I had a 1MB videocard with really bad drivers and the hardware wasn't great either, so I had to play UT in 320x200 software in window. It looked nice, but then I saw it in fullscreen and glide on a Voodoo Rush. I was
I couldn't afford a 3dfx card then, but I gathered all the money that I've got from my parents and I bought a Voodoo2 about 1 year later.
BTW I'm born in July 80.

'86 and proud of it !
3dfx cards started coming to my country just before I entered High-School.
At the first Computer Games Cafe I went I played Quake 2 and NFS 3. Love at first sight. When I moved at a nVidia based platform, Quake wasn't looking that good anymore.
GL Quake on the other hand, I started playing a couple months ago. Comparing it to Doom, i guess it marked quite a revolution at the time it was released.
Cheers to you all !

Sadly I was unable to experience the glory days of 3dfx. I developed a hankering for retro-gaming and retro-hardware some time ago and am just now getting into collecting 3dfx hardware.

I was born 71 and have been using them since the Monster 3D was out. Had to get it for Quake. It exploded after that.
