I had a little fun this morning with one old motherboard wich had one agp, six pci and one isa slot.
First image is with 3 v5, one agp, one pci for pc and one pci for mac (with dvi).
In second pictures I filled all slots with all generations of 3dfx cards, from top to bottom : 3dfx v4 4500, 3dfx v5 5500, 3dfx voodoo 3 3000, provideo voodoo2, skywell voodoo1, jazz voodoo rush, creative voodoo banshee.
Too bad that 3dfx didnt made any ISA hardware

Very nice box, congrats. Could you post the pictures that you used for the box ? Maybe some others will try to do it

@razrx in the last picture the seems to be a contradiction in terms "Not For Resale" and "V5 Proof of Purchase" . All and all very nice work, the box looks great.
I was also wandering why everybody that tried to do one of these boxed for the 6k has made it using the v5 5500 US version as model and as a result it's US Box. It would be nice to see the EU version or even the APJ version

You should market these boxes for V5 6K owners - you'd get quite a bit of business!

As far as making your own Voodoo 5 6000 box, here are my tips.
Go here:
http://www.voodoo3dfx.com/Foro_V6k/viewt...ci&start=0&sid=
I found the above thread looking around one day and I used all the info on that thread to make my box.
What you need:
-the v5 6000k front image (see the thread I posted above for the image)
-a V5 5500 AGP retail box works best(other V5s or V4s would do the trick too, but more work is involved)
-a fairly high resolution scanner
-empty V# #### box. I used a V3 3000 PCI box to glue the printed image to.
-Gimp2 - Awesome program that I had to learn as I worked on this project (
www.sourceforge.net
)
-LOTS of time and patience

@razrx - congrats on an excellent project!
I think a V6k would fit in that box just fine. (one like SFFT's, now murfi's) I'm sure that if the cards went to prod they would not have included that extra/waste pcb.
Don't know about the whole VV though... oh well, we are talking about the unkown, therefore everything is pure speculation.

Thanks for the tips Paul!
@exxe: I believe in the make your own Molex to 1 Pin power adapter.
/EDIT - My V5 6000 box is 37 cm long, but my card is only 34.5 cm...... hmmmm... I've got some ideas for another project...
@rotten: ya, VV isn't my thing either.
/EDIT - Here's a newer picture of the Molex to 1 Pin. In the first image I used liquid electrical tape.... i wouldn't really recommend it, since I respliced, soldered and heat shrink tubed the cable. It also looks cleaner.

Is that a small box or is it the same size as US and Euro boxes?
