That Voodoo3 does look like a prototype, only it has no NFR stickers and no E-Tag, but what is it's Revision?

For it's PCB Date I read this part on it's back upper top left corner I'm tring to figure what that may be, I first thought it would be it's PCB date but it's too smudged out to read:

but later on I found the PCB date some where else, it's from week 47 year 1999

Rather late for a Voodoo3 Prototype though 8)

I think it's an A1 because of the tagging "A126" at front of the card. Gary has a prototype from 42-98, there is the writing "A071" and he describes it as an A0 board so I assume the first two characters mark the revision.

If I'm wrong please beat me. Wink

I didn't find any other clues on a possible revision marking.

I think that is the indicator of the layer because in that field right next to the 4 a 3 shines through and from the other side there is a 1 clearly written and a 2 shines through. Wink

The "NFR" decals were notable on the post-STB boards, this brown Voodoo 3 is clearly a pre-production board.

Reply #478 - 21.01.06 at 01:28:42 yeah I know it's a prototype hehe that's not the problem it just even looks too odd to be a production board hehe but normally it would have an E-Tag or maybe that was removed or so. I suppose that only cards that were shown to the press have NFR decails right?
