My hard days away from this great forum are over!
18.01.07 at 16:35:37

Let me express myself here; there had been hard weeks for my, but that is all over now thanks to a great friend (also member here)!
You might know or not that I am a big 3DFX fan and a loyal memer on this goood forum; ok... I don't post when I have nothing helpful to say (and my English is realy bad), but in the last years there allmost was not day to pass whitout me going here to see what is new in our 3DFX world. The sad thing for me was to hit me on Nov. the 30'th last year when a power-pulse had killed my Epox 8kha+ KT266A mainboard. I had only a very few money, but even so for allmost 3 weeks I could not find even one motherboard compatible with my Duron CPU, my DDR memory and most important with my Voodoo5 AGP, for sale in my home-town. Not one!
Then the greatest friend anyone could ever want, a member here too, had a Epox 8k3a KT333 MB send to me. By respect to him and his great modesty in taking credit, I will only say that his name stars with the letter R. until he might give me the permission to thank him in public the way he has all the right to. This is not the first time that this gret man helped me (and allready it was not the last one, but I will say no more); I will allways be in debt to him!
The package was lost by the International Postal Services, but after aprox. one month it had arrived to me the day before yesterday, in the afternoon and now I can enjoy again using a computer.
I need to say: it feel realy good to be back here! It is the greatest place to meet the other 3DFX loyal fans!
In the weeks without a PC I had time to do some research for the "more memory for the Voodoo cards" project; it might be old news for some of you what I found out but I will soon open a topic about it.
Let me say again: it feels good to be back here! Long live the Falconfly's forum!
Thank you R.!

Yes, Rolo01 is the friend helping me! What a great heart this man has! I was in a previous big money debt with him (he helped me before when I was down) and the few Euro that I was able to send to him when this time he offered a 8K3a mainboard were not even enough to cover what I owed him before, not talking about a price for the MB. He shiped it anyway, but the package was lost by the Postal services and it arrived only after 1 month (it usualy takes 1 week to mail from Germany to Romania). Could you guess what did this guy when we lost the hope to recover the lost package? He decided to send a second motherboard to me, so I could finaly have a working PC; he did it again only from his money. But like the first one (and way better!), this second MB from him is legendary for Voodoo AGP users, for it is no other than the best available: the 8k5a2+!!!
Right now, I have 2 fabulous mainboards from Rolo01; I cannot pay for them until later, all because he wanted to help me. OK, he say that "this is what friends are for"! But, for all I know, friends like Roland are so hard to find that many people still think that there are no men with such a great soul and such a big heart...
If anyone were to be in my shoes, what could one wish that to thank him a million times and to hope that one day in the future will be able to do something for this best friend in return?

heh yeah Rolo01 was always mindfull by using the Force as helping others Smiley

He's a great Jedi Master, he masters the Force greatly, like everyohter Jedi Master I know Smiley

he was actually the first man I saw witha  Voodoo 5 6000, he kinda showed the world what that card was really like, quite an amazing day back then, an operation Voodoo 5 6000 AGP 128MB Rev.A2 2600 quite a rare model as well, well back then revisions as models numbers didn't mean that much, because we were alot less informed about that till a few years later til now on Smiley

@ Rolo01

Remember that PM I sent you, that I wanted to trade my whole 57part Voodoo collection for your Voodoo 5 6000 Roll Eyes that was like mkaay, was I for real? anyways I know I was back then, but thinking about that now, heh I was kinda wacko in that head true blue there mate Wink

May The Force Be Strong in You my friend.
