the card is kinda huge too But hey Quad CrossFire is now possible or you can use the secondary GPU as a Physics unit instead

what also is possible is 2 of these cards in CF and use 2 of the GPU's ofr graphics and the other 2 for physics or all 4 in CrossFire what I would do and use an Ageia Physics P1 for the Physics

it should beat a single 7950GX2 with ease

since it has 2x 36 pixelshader processors while the 7950GX2 has only 2x 24

this one like the 7950 GX2 has 2x 8 vertex shader processors but what it has as a greater advatage is that it can combine FSAA + HDR + AF HQ and you can utilize the second RV570 VPU as a PPU

or you add a second card as second dual RV570 setup, thereby a 4 way RV570 setup in CrossFire and in the 3rd PCI-E x16 slot a X1650XT as Physics Processing Unit aka PPU for example

yeah pretty freaky idea hay haah this is kinda insano man Crikey! man just imagine those new mobo's with 2 PCI-E slots, 2 of thise thing in CrossFire thereby beating a dual R580 setup haha LooL there  I go , then in the third slot a third dual card for Physics and then R600 comes well you'd put 2 dualie R6.xx cards in the main PCI-E x 16 slot's and a 3rd one in the Physics slot hah man NV will never know what hit them

And now that software CrossFire is possible and also gives nice gains, maybe you can just use all 3 Dual cards in CF then hav'n a total of 6 RV570 VPU's , just imagine this idea with the new generation of R6.xx VPU's, would be nice for Folding @ Home or Seti@ Home too , oh maaaannn !!!

Must say that the Dual R580 Setup I have now is kinda amazing, at my computer club they were having a 3D mark 2K6 race with default speeds hah the fun began while one of me mates which had the fastest PC scored a nice 4567 points he had a X2 4400+ 2GB Corsair XMS platinum, NForce4 mobo from ASUS  ??? why Nforce 4 Sli while he want ATI CF! heh bad move believe me, the RD580 crushes NNF4SLI with ATi's I just can't get that through his head.

then he asked me to run 3D mark 2K6 haha I said are you sure? he yeah go on so my score came with 8387 he was WTF! I showed him my dual R580 setup on RD580 and he kinda was shocked haha

So then I was thinking why no Dual R580 card instead Dual X1950 XTX that would be much more fun than a dual RV570 right ?
