I also remembered this heh

Gary wrote the following:
"I'm assembling a system that was to be sold and had been seen in prototype form."
The NitroX Infinity asked if it is a Quantum3D system as his first question:
Quote:Is it a Q3D system?
AAlchemy 4xxx anything to do with it?
1. Is it a Q3D system?
his second was:
2. AAlchemy 4xxx anything to do with it?
So Gary answers with
Yes for question 1 and no for question 2

Look:
Quote:Yes and no, not a 4xxx system.
The Paulpsomaidis asks:
Quote:Hmm...so it's a Q3D 'case' but without Q3D hardware...
and till then no answer, so what I think it is is the following:
It is a Dual Pentium2/3 based rig since it has Dual SECC/SECCII connectors, it can house up to 4x 512MB PX-100/133 or 4x 1024MB PC-100/PC-133 ECC REG ram modules, since that some duallie P2's and P3's could house a max of 2GB or 4GB depends of what board you have.
It does have a True AGP x2 3.3 Volt slot, so maybe an Avenger based card will go there since Avenger & Pentium3 were from the same time.
But yes Gary did use a Quantum3D Case, why this I do not know maybe that Quantum3D was mak'n 3rd party systems as well or they were planned to do that but that never came past the Final Prototype Field tests.
This is just my vision of things dunno if it true though, leave that to Gary I will my friends.
