How to know if a VSA100 chip is genuine? (Read 265 times)

And I found many sellers with prices from $10 to $50 a piece. So the big question is, how to make sure one chip is genuine and not rebranded NVidia or some other company?

I highly doubt that someone would try to fake those chips for a few dollars per chip.

Reply #7 - 10.12.13 at 13:42:27 There is now way to tell I guess, but almost certainly they are 220, as 320 I believe were used only in 6000. But I might be wrong, so somebody should clarify...

Reply #8 - 10.12.13 at 14:03:53 as far as I know, only later versions of the 6000, as in Rev 3900, maybe the 3700 as well, and very very maybe the 5500 agp 4x card as well. other then some software that can read out 3dfx chip revisions, I don't know any other way to find out if your card has 220 or 320.
