A month of 3dfx goodness
15.11.05 at 12:28:45
As you know it is a month till the 5 year mark that 3dfx closed their doors.
Rather then morn 3dfx's passing, I thought it better to celebrate by showing some new items I have obtained in the last few months but have not really made public yet
Every day I'll upload a new image till December 15th.
Intel revision V5-6000 with power brick, revision 1500.
Tracing the card it would appear to be the one shown at this trade show-

well very Nice Gary
@ St4r4m4m4 well he's missing a few the Rev.A2 2600 the first HInT based 6K and the Rev.A3 3400 the second HiNT based board and not to forget the Rev.A0 0700 with all of it's chips and components that card is the first 4x1 VSA-100 layout Voodoo5 6000 cores/ram @ 166Mhz with 5.4ns Toshiba ram.
The Rev.A1 1500 the one Gary pictured runs @ cores/mem 100Mhz with 5.4 ns Toshiba ram.
The Rev.A2 2600 has cores/mem @ 166Mhz and uses 5.5 ns Hyundai SDRAM and the Rev.A3 3400 has the same 5.4ns SDRAM as the Rev.A0 0700 and Rev.A1 1500 cards though cores/em run @ 183Mhz rather speedy hay
though they are very unreliable, a Rev.A2 2600 would be even safer to use than a Rev.A3 3400.

<<<< New kid on the block but a loyal fan to VooDoo for a long time in gaming zone..
If any of you ever played Outlaws(LucasArts)..... thats where I been hiding for sometime and ...i must say it is sad to see why 3DFX couldnt continue
.........ive gone to many of your sites for tech help and now coming to find this forum in which i hope to maybe gather some more tech knowledge for being able to run these cards .... btw we welcome players to this old game ....I can say for me, this is the fastest game that i think a voodoo will play ....I may be gloating but we've been able to achieve 800fps on a v5 agp card in this old game ..wether or not that is a real number it does move that fast ....... but yes to me a "month of 3dfx goodness" stands to be recognized
hope to chat with you guys more soon

yes the VoodooVolts of the Rev.A1 1500 models are abit larger,if you go to Gary's Voodoo5 6000 section page on his 3dfx website you can see the size comparison very well
scroll down to the bottom of that page that is where the old Voodoo Volts with the four pin connector can be seen next to the Voodoo Volts with the single Pin connector better known as the newer Voodoo Volts that was meant for the Rev.A3 3400, Rev.A 3700 and Rev.A 3900 6K's.

it's a PSU for Rev.A0 0700, Rev.A1 1500 & Rev.A2 2600 based 6K's, because they all have the four pin connector for the Voodoo Volts

Yes and what most people don't know is there is two different size early 4 pin bricks.
The larger of the two has air vents and either is larger then the later single pin brick.
