Title: ATI vid card inquiry
Post by bucksavage on 25.11.07 at 07:55:46
A while back I missed out on getting an ATI 3d Rage II + DVD vid card circa 1996 froma dump.  yea I know........but what I wondered was if it had've been in working order, (it was still in the computer case, some guy wanted to throw it out), would it had been a good grab?  And what amount of video ram would it have had approx?

Rage II is pretty common as are decoder cards (heck, I think I had one that I threw away as no one wanted it)

Ok that's all I wanted to know really...I was gonna take it but I decided not to after all....was the amount of video ram good on them?

Rage II came in 4mb, 8mb, 16mb of ram and is a little slower than a voodoo3

Hope that helps

much slower would be more appropriate.

I'm glad that I didn;t take it then, cause I use a Voodoo3 200 PCI 16 meg and if the 16 meg Ati Rage III is slower, then.........
