schpeken de english?  8)

What's with the wires that are soldered onto the back?

And it has a cable with a sort of s-video port on it? what's that for?  Alternate extra power source?

This is a wild guess, but, does the V5 6000 have an S-video port on it?

Would he be using the S-video/power cable  to power the Voodoo through the S-video port and the wires soldered onto the back are shortcut circuits to the power outages?

Just a theory. ::)

Thats right. And yes I speak english. But I am too lasy for translating the text. If you are interested, I will translate the major parts. The wires on the back is some sort of mdification to make the card work.  But I can't say if the card ist actually working.
The extra-power is some sort of very experimental try, but I haven't tried it yet an I will not try I.

I thought as much. ;)
The only thing is, if it is untested, then it is risky for those purchasing it, who wish to have it as a working model.  :-/

Do you have it auctioned on ebay? As I couldn't find a URL for it.  You may wish to try that, as you may get more interest in the card.

i wouldnt mind paying 300 or so for a non working v6000 for a display model, but it seems the non working ones go for not much less than a working one ???

No sh*t? ::)

No, seriously, regardless of it being a working model, as Patience said, it's an "Alpha" card, therfore being a part of the 3dfx history, in terms of ideas & development.  Although, it would be even more rare (and more expensive for that matter) if it was proved to be working. Yet, being as unstable as these cards are and the limitations of it working on a small amount of compatible Intel chipset motherboards, it proves an even greater task to get it to KEEP working! ;)
