I've never understood why so many people are using "Freemailers".

Every Internet-Provider should supply a very reliable and secure EMail. I've been using mine for many years now, never had those problems even once...

Had my Hotmail for something like 10 years now, in that timeframe I have changed service providers 4 times.

Hotmail is nice when on the road to access mail fast on public computers.

FACT #1

Everyone (and I mean everyone) I know understands that Hotmail completely SUCKS! Angry

Switch over to something better, i.e. anything that doesn't attract SPAM like a magnet... Roll Eyes

I use Yahoo Mail when I'm on the move. Wink

I also have a 'proper' offline mail client in case of emergencies. Grin

I don't know where you guys got the 'Hotmail-hate-virus' ... Some people just like to bash Hotmail / Microsoft I guess?

I'm using Hotmail for quite a while. Of course I have a GMail account and yes, GMail has a clean and fast layout. But, with my ADSL connection the clean layout doesn't matter that much, Hotmail loads fairly quick.

Besides that, I have this account for a while. I'm not going to switch to another EMail service because the only thing which is better is the clean layout?

Again, bullshit. I've configured my Hotmail account to throw in every spam mail into the Junkmail. Every good will be placed in the normal box. No problem there.

The number of spam I receive? I don't think I can get an average of 3 spam mails a day last year. This year I received 4 spam mails which would be an average of less than 1. Do those e-mails bother me? No, they just end-up in the Junkmail automatically.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not an Hotmail nor Microsoft fanboy (I'm not a fanboy at all... it's useless to be a fanboy). I just don't get it why people bash Hotmail so much. Or am I the only one on this planet without having so much difficulties with Hotmail? Don't think so.

I would not agree- My hotmail account sees a fraction of the spam my ISP account sees and the amount of down time is not even mentionable compared to my DSL ISP.

I would recommend Hotmail over a regular ISP account any day of the week.

By the way. It started working again 3 hours ago while I was on the phone with tech support... They swear that they did nothing Roll Eyes

Way back when I got the hotmail account and figured that when all the other ISPs dry up, Hotmail (MS) will still be around Wink

Netzero is strickly for registration purposes and gets a ton of spam. That keeps the spam down on the hotmail and yahoo accounts. If nothing else, That's a good use of freemail. Embarrassed

I don't know, I use both Hotmail and Yahoo but with my hot mail account, i've got anyone not in my address book goes directly into bulk mail. In the last month, I've only gotten 34 messages in the bulk mail compared to 4500 a week in my yahoo mail. Hotmail works just fine for me and I've been using it for about 8 years now.
