sry guys. i was in a car accident and nothing has gone right since then. So back to the problem, i have installed my chipset drivers, sound drivers, direct x, and also v5 drivers. i played around with my settings and 800x 600 seems to make the words regular again but everything is bigger. it was initially set at 920x720 and that seemed to cause some distortion so i am sticking with 800x600. So far everything is well and i think i have leaped over this hurdle. Thanks to everyone that has contributed because i couldn't have done it without you guys.
