Remember this card?

This showed up in the mail yesterday-

Owner doesn't remember where it came from and from the Ebay pic I assumed it was a Wicked3d till a real Wicked3d board showed up here the other day.

Same as the V3 beta board- NO markings except for a board pcb number and "3dfx Interactive Banshee" and it has two jumpers, even DEBUG was uninformative.

I picked it up off Ebay as a package with an Abit BE6 motherboard, 256 megs of ram and a Celeron 300A.

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for any other boards like this.. Maybe I'll get brave and pry the heatsink off and see if the number on the chip is an oddball like the V3 board...

No definitive answer, but a couple of possibilities to narrow it down a bit Wink

(the FCC ID would be useful, if present on the Card)

I'll check out those links, I suspect the Banshee card might simply be a product of a no name vender but that still doesn't explain the oddball V3 card with odd chip number and layout. Gary

Ahh! Looks like the Banshee I have might be an A-open board, excellent. PCB looks very, very close with very minor differences. Perhaps I have an early board? It has NO markings at all except for what was noted above.

Has a few things in common with the "beta" V3 board, but this is clearly a Banshee and the board I have has a V3 chip.

The second pic is almost spot on to the banshee I have, I think it's safe to safe I have a asian Banshee card not meant for sale in the US. (No FCC)
