Title: Locating 3Dfx DEMOs
Post by paulpsomiadis on 07.06.07 at 17:06:36
Okay peeps - I'm starting a new topic on... ;)

3Dfx SCENE DEMOs :D

You know, those funkeh DEMO sequences that were produced to show off the POWAH of our beloved 3Dfx cards! ;D

The aim of this topic is to locate as many GLiDE DEMOs as possible to add to @Falcon's archive... ;)

So let's start the ball rolling! :)

DEMO NAME: To Be Continued...

Are you talking player made demos here showing Glide videos or.....

Cool video don't get me wrong just kind of looking more at what you want here that's all man.

Ah okay - sorry I'm not being specific enough! ::)

I'm talking EXACTLY about the following ;):

GLiDE 'scene' demos
GLiDE 'tech' demos
...other GLiDE based demos?!?

I have a Final Fantasy 7 Demo on one of my old discs, and also a Tomb Raider 3 Demo that uses 3dfx somewhere too.

Is that what you're talking about? Who has 3dfx game demos? I got a few ^^. Obviously, I didn't program those games. Those where in my magazine disc, from like 9 years ago.

NOT game DEMOs -'scene' demos that are just GFX and music. ;)

Can't really get much clearer than that... ::)

heh I know what you seek like demo´s that show FXT1 in action or Alpha Fog rendering and things like that right but then with the 3dfx Glide API, I´m quite sure that more demo´s like of that type are around but on the web dunno about that.

Falconfly has many sort of 3dfx demo´s but indeed not the ones you mean Paul.

Yeah, sort of... :-/

I'm also going on about the older Voodoo 2 demos that were made when 3Dfx cards were first released. ;)

Hmm I wonder if there were any Voodoo5 6000 demo´s just that were designed for the Voodoo5 6000 only maybe? since it had the FSAA x8 option as the 2 extra VSA-100´s on it as it could handle twice as much textures as the 5500´s as 5000´s could since it was a double 5500 to be short.
