Hi,

I have a Vodooo 3/3000 video card and was using a WIN98 with original drivers and it was ok.

I upgraded my o.s. to WIN2k and installed the original drivers for WIN2k. After that the settings for Video Overlay (inside 3dfx Tools > 3DFX Color) are not working anymore. (they are not avaiable)

Besides that, in Monitor Type ( Control Panel - Display Properties - Settings -Advanced) appears a "Generic Television" (in win98 there wasn't that) and my real monitor CMC-1703b).

I tried formatting my HD, reinstalling a new driver after reinstalling O.S. (AMIGAMERLIN 2.5 SE FOR voodoo3/4/5(tm) Driver kit) but the problem remains.

I usually watch DVDs in my computer and I use these festures to adjust the color and brightness.

I think the problem is that "Generic Television" but both drivers install it.

Hm...

You are not the first one to report such a missing Overlay Tab.

I've checked my 3dfx Tools V2.6.1.110 , that I have installed with my Win98/Voodoo4 4500 TV combo, and the Overlay Tab is there...

You might want to check your 3dfx Tools Version, and if found different, Download the V2.6.1.110 from the Archive.

Note that there's also a slightly newer Version existing (V2.6.1.116), but I haven't extracted/uploaded that one yet. Since the Overlay is present in the .110, it 'should' work anyway...

Otherwise, a look into the Registry might help (the Tab could be there, but is deactivated for some reason). I'm not sure about this possibility, but it's worth a shot...

I never had to use those Features, so I'm not sure what exact values to look for in the Registry... I would search the entire 3dfx Key, and see if there's something like "Overlay" contained there.
