@ ps47
nice pics mate and congratulations for the Rev.A 3700 ! Since this is a 3dfx related topic it would be wiser to post it here: http://www.falconfly-central.de/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=general no problems with it now but the This and That area is a place for non 3dfx related subjects ;) |

finally I was able to give her a spin:
runs like butter (glide2x seems a bit problematic,I had to use the glide2xto3x wrapper to avoid lockup on exit, but I blame that on xp) ;D however,C694 seems to be missing on my board (the card had to be like that when I got it,there is no way I could tear it down by accident without realizing it,only had it out from the original wrappings 3-4 times, only to have a look at it+the yesterdays test, and there is no way I could do such damage only by gently plugging the card into the agp slot of the 8ks5a board): so it seems like the c694 should be there-can someone confirm this? |

Yes, the C694 is present on my card, but if the card runs smooth without any errors that might be a part which isn't really necessary.

seems like I better find a replacement and have it re-soldered back.C694 part is not present on any of the cards I have though, lets hope someone will be able to give me more detailed info on the part..
any chance you could get up a picture of yours? |

I have a DEAD V5500 and will gladly salvage and ship the part.
@Hank - which capacitors on the V5500 AGP are of the same value? |
