Screen corruption artifacts at 1600x1200 in Glide mode with V5

I just got a Voodoo 5 5500. I installed the latest official 3Dfx drivers. Whenever I set the resolution to 1600x1200 in a Glide game, my screen fills with these horizontal lines. It doesn't do it on a lower resolution. It doesn't do it on the desktop or in Direct3D mode.

Do you think it is a driver issue or is there something wrong with my card?

The system:
Win98
P3-933MHz
256MB RAM
