Would have posted this in the games section but not really 3DFX related. Just wondering if any of you guys are into any of the games like Guild Wars, DAoC, EQ, WoW or any other of the many games out there that on huge multiplayer games online.

Buggy (thanks to EA) , but one of the most complete and compelling Tactical Shooter concepts on the market.

I must say that Operation Flashpoint : Armed Assult seems to be a very good one also and more realistic than BattleField2 aka Bugfield 2 :-X

I was more or less wondering, cuz I've been hooked on WoW the last month or so (Obi- on the Darkspear server) but in the past I've played EQ (when you could play it on a Voodoo card), and I'm still playin America's Army, CoD 2 online, and get a game in every once in a while with NWN's. Still have to get NWN's 2 which is supposed to be crazy.

So I was just wondering, that's all.

did you get CoD2 running on your Voodoo5 as well, if so how?
Since W0W is possible just type OpenGL after the execute when fir'n up the application.

No, CoD2 and WoW have been with the x850, gotta try it on my V5 though, didn't even know you could run in on OpenGL, that's way cool.

jandarsun8, i havent played America Army since playin with you, i hope to be on there soon again, my g3 died and not sure how to get on there with the v4 or v5 card, i think there is a way or was a way at one time?

a V6K should be able to run America's army no sweat :)
since any DX6/7 based card can run it as well :)

this week I will be testing AA on my V6K under 98SE so just hang on for a few hours will get it doen this week and give it a test ride , just need to know what drive I should use under 98SE for the V6K, was think'n of the latest 3dfx WHQL driver.

When it first came out, I could get it to play on the V5 but was hacked in order to do it. I haven't been able to use it on the V5 since after first or second major patch they did though.

Might just have to update something, not sure, just haven't even tried it since then.

With the new 2.7 release might even be harder to get it to run on the Voodoo's. All new maps, things you can drive now and new skills to train at.

well Paul I don't play WoW just knew the site ;) since a few friends of mine lay it, I don't because it cost's money, and that's just not my jig ;)
